Staff Accountant

ClearVue Glass and Mirror (CVG) is seeking a Staff Accountant to support core accounting functions within a growing construction environment.

This role is intended for an early-career accountant with exposure to construction or project-based accounting who is ready to build on that foundation in a structured, deadline-driven environment. This is a CPA track position, offering the necessary work experience and mentorship for an individual to obtain CPA licensure.

This is an in-office position, Monday through Friday, at our Marietta, Georgia location, reporting to the Director of Finance. The department also supports our Tampa, Florida operations. Core working hours are 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility to work earlier or later as business needs require.

Compensation: $55,000–$70,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. The upper end of the range is reserved for candidates with strong, directly relevant experience, as this role is designed with growth and progression in mind.

This position requires attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. The Staff Accountant will support financial operations while developing capability in job cost accounting, payroll, and project-based financial processes.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 1-3 years of accounting experience -or- internship experience in construction or project-based accounting

  • Ability to pass comprehensive background investigation and drug screening

  • Proficiency in Excel (intermediate +)

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Job cost accounting, construction billing, or project accounting

  • Strong understanding of GAAP

  • Strong attention to detail and organization

  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar systems

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations and Close Support

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes

  • Prepare journal entries and perform bank, AP and AR reconciliations

  • Prepare supporting schedules for GL reconciliations as needed

  • Maintain general ledger accuracy and supporting documentation

  • Assist in preparing financial reports and studies

Construction Accounting Support

  • Support job cost tracking and project accounting processes

  • Assist with Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and project reporting

  • Support billing processes, including generating pay applications and retainage tracking

  • Work with Project Managers to gather and validate financial data

Accounts Payable and Receivable

  • Process vendor invoices with accurate coding and documentation

  • Administer automated AP system

  • Assist with customer invoicing and collections tracking

  • Maintain organized and accurate payables and receivables records

Payroll and Compliance Support

  • Assist with payroll processing and review for accuracy

  • Support certified payroll (Davis-Bacon / prevailing wage) reporting

  • Ensure alignment between payroll, job costing, and project data

Systems and Process Support

  • Work within QuickBooks Enterprise, Procore, RAMP, Agave, Elation, LCP Tracker and related systems

  • Use Excel for reconciliations, data tracking, and analysis

  • Maintain organized, audit-ready digital documentation in a paperless environment

  • Notary Commission required upon hire or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment
